I wanted to bring up something that might not have been discussed much yet—has anyone looked into the kind of security the Howard Johnson hotel had at the time? You'd think a place like that should have had CCTV that could provide more insights into what happened before and after the incident. It just seems odd that there's not more information about any footage, especially in an age where cameras are everywhere. Maybe it could help piece together some more of the puzzle here. Hey all, I wanted to bring up a detail I've been thinking about regarding the evidence found at the scene of Jonathan Michael Jacobs' murder at the Howard Johnson hotel in Staunton. With the discovery of cash and pills alongside the shell casings, I'm wondering if this could hint at a possible motive or a deeper story involving Phillips, the suspect.
Does anyone else think these could link to something more than just a straightforward altercation? Could there be a financial or drug-related aspect we aren't fully aware of yet? It's just so hard to understand why Jonathan had to lose his life, and I'm hoping for some clarity as we move forward. I can't imagine what his family and friends are going through right now.
