Hey everyone,
I just can't wrap my head around this tragic case involving Wayne McMillan. It seems like a nightmarish situation where family bonds took a terrifying turn. My thoughts are with Wayne's mother; I can't imagine the horror and helplessness she must have felt hearing her son's cries through that locked door. I'm sure she's grappling with an unimaginable loss right now.
The complex dynamics in families can sometimes erupt in unexpected and violent ways, and it makes me wonder about the history between Wayne and Cintel. What led to such a severe escalation of violence? Hopefully, as the investigation unfolds, we'll get a clearer picture of what truly happened that night. In the meantime, if anyone has more information or thoughts on preventing domestic tragedies like this, it would be valuable to hear your insights.
Sending strength to Wayne's family and to everyone affected by such brutal incidents. Keep safe, everyone.

Did anyone else notice how quickly the police were able to arrest Cintel Kelley at the scene? It's rare in these kinds of cases for law enforcement to apprehend a suspect so fast. It makes me wonder if there was some prior history between him and Wayne that the police were aware of. With it being domestic-related, it just adds a whole layer of complexity and tragedy. My heart goes out to Wayne's mother. The thought of hearing that kind of horror from behind a closed door must be incredibly traumatizing. I also found it interesting that Kelley is allegedly a six-time convicted felon, yet he still had access to a firearm. How do felons keep slipping through the cracks and getting guns? Considering the broader issue of domestic violence that Chief Steve Drew highlighted, it’s troubling to see how recurring this kind of violence is, especially in a year with multiple cases like this in Newport News. Hoping that this will lead to a closer look at how we can better prevent such tragedies. Stay safe, everyone.
