I can't stop thinking about how DJ was such a bright young soul with so much potential ahead of him. I've read stories shared by his friends and family, and it seems like he brought so much light into their lives. The fact that he was just waiting for the bus to go to school, something so ordinary, yet it ended so tragically is just beyond comprehension. It's deeply concerning that no suspects have been named yet. How do we protect our kids if something like this can happen in broad daylight within blocks of home? I've seen suggestions from the community about installing more surveillance or increasing patrols, but I wonder if there's more we can do to address the underlying issues leading to such violence. My heart goes out to DJ's family and all those touched by his loss. Let's keep pushing for answers and changes to honor DJ's memory.
