I’ve been thinking a lot about the courageous first responders who arrived on the scene in Sumter. I can’t even begin to imagine what they must have gone through, finding those innocent children and Carlos Evans. They’re unsung heroes, having to witness some of the most devastating moments of people's lives. It’s not just their professionalism but their humanity that stands out. My heart goes out to them, and I hope they have access to all the support they need to process such a harrowing event. It's a reminder of the challenges they face daily and why we owe them so much gratitude.
