Has anyone else been following the developments in the Timothy Barnett case? I know the focus has been on the sextortion angle, but I can't stop thinking about Timothy's mom, Betsy. It must be incredibly challenging to navigate the legal system while also grieving such a profound loss. ?️ I read that the Sumter Police Department initially couldn't access Timothy's phone because of a changed passcode. It's no one's fault, but I wonder if they had access sooner, would it lead to quicker justice for Timothy? Knowing that they eventually had to subpoena Snapchat shows just how complex these kinds of investigations are. Betsy's strength during this time is nothing short of remarkable. And now with the FBI and DHS stepping in, it gives me hope that whoever did this to Timothy will be found and held accountable. I'm sending love and support to the Barnett family; they deserve justice and some peace of mind. ?

Has anyone else been following the updates about Timothy Barnett's case? It's so disturbing to think about how someone can prey on kids like this. I’ve been particularly struck by how this awful situation unfolded just from a simple afternoon sitting in the car. It's a sobering reminder of how quickly things can escalate online. I can't imagine the anxiety and fear Timothy must have felt—it just breaks my heart to think of him having to deal with that all alone. At least now, with the FBI involved, there’s hope for justice, and perhaps some peace for his family. Has anyone heard any updates on how the investigation is proceeding with the phone records or anything? Keeping the family in my thoughts—no one should have to endure this kind of pain.
