It’s incredibly tough to think about how these senseless acts of violence affect our communities, especially when young lives are lost. My heart goes out to the family and friends of Dives Keyon Evans—he was so young, with his whole future ahead of him. I noticed how everyone in Columbia seems to be rallying together, offering support to the family and calling for peace. It’s truly a testament to the strength and compassion of this community, which despite its grief, is pushing for change and justice. I hope that the continued investigation by the Columbia Police Department brings some clarity and that the community's cooperation helps prevent tragedies like this from happening again. Please share any information you might have; sometimes the smallest detail can make all the difference.
