I've been thinking a lot about the welfare check that led to discovering Gail Lowry's tragic death. It's so distressing to think about how someone can suddenly vanish from the lives of those who care about them and how it took over a week for anyone to realize something was amiss. Thank goodness for friends and neighbors who raised the alarm when they did. It makes me wonder about our collective ability to look out for one another, especially our elders, who might not have someone checking in on them daily. It's important to remain vigilant and connected, so our loved ones don’t just slip through the cracks. My heart truly goes out to her friends and family, and I hope they're finding some comfort in being together during such a difficult time.
