Hey everyone, I’ve been following the case out of Jackson and just keep thinking about the larger issue here. I read that Jaaziel Jones’s shooting is sadly just one of many in Jackson recently, and it makes me wonder how we can address the root causes of this violence. As much as we need justice for Jaaziel and others like him, there also needs to be a real conversation about why this is happening in the first place. It makes me so sad that these young lives are being lost far too soon. I hope the community and officials can come together to find solutions that will prevent more senseless tragedies and make the streets safer for everyone. What do you guys think needs to be done on a community level to stop this cycle?

I can't stop thinking about the toll these incidents take on the community, especially the families and friends left behind to pick up the pieces. It’s incredibly frustrating to read that there still haven't been any arrests in Jaaziel Jones’s case. I can’t imagine the pain of not only losing a loved one so senselessly but also not having answers or justice. I wonder if anyone had a chance to speak to the other victim in the car? Perhaps they saw something or someone that could be a lead. It’s terrifying how frequent these shootings seem to be happening in Jackson. I really hope the community can come together to provide any help they can to push for some resolution. My thoughts are with Jaaziel’s loved ones during this impossibly tough time.
