I've been following the case out of Greenwood, and something about Torrance Payton's background really hits me. Here was this young entrepreneur, only 30, who had his whole life ahead of him. It's so unsettling to think about how someone who was just building a future ended up losing everything in an instant. I read where Torrance's funeral was held at Leflore Legacy Academy. It seems like that choice of location says a lot about how much he was valued in the community – a school is all about growth and potential, right? I hope his family found comfort in seeing the impact he had on those around him, even in such a short time. Sending strength and thoughts to Torrance's and Tyissha’s families. It must be incredibly hard dealing with such a sudden and tragic loss.
