Hey everyone, I've been following the developments in the Keenan Draper case, and something that's really been on my mind is the impact this has on the Batesville community, particularly around the Corner Store area. It's unsettling to think that just a month prior, Draper's brother Calvin was also taken in such a similar, tragic way. I can't imagine how their family is navigating this awful time, losing two loved ones so close together. The fact that this happened in broad daylight is deeply troubling. It highlights how bold some criminals have become and raises questions about safety in that part of town. With previous efforts to reduce crime in the Vance and Pearson Streets area, it makes you wonder about the effectiveness of those measures. Closing down T.K.'s Supermarket was supposed to be part of that plan, but it seems more needs to be done to ensure the safety of residents and visitors. Anyone else from the area who can share what life has been like since these incidents? Are the authorities ramping up their presence or taking new steps to curb this violence?
