Just thinking about Alicia's children, I can't begin to imagine the pain they're going through without their mom. Finding out about their mom's tragic death just as they're stepping into some of the most important phases of their lives must be incredibly difficult. Her eldest is wrapping up college, and Alicia won’t be there to see her graduate. The youngest is just starting high school, a time when a mother's guidance is so vital. And her son, moving away for college at Grand Valley State? It's a bitter twist to what should have been exciting new beginnings for all of them. I genuinely hope their community rallies around them and that the GoFundMe can at least ease some of their burdens. Losing a parent like this... it’s beyond words. Keeping them in my thoughts ?

Has anyone else been following the tragic case of Alicia Danielle Lofton in Grand Rapids? My heart goes out to Alicia’s family, especially her children who now have to navigate life without their mom. I’ve been thinking a lot about how the justice system handled the no-contact order with Marcus. It’s chilling to imagine that despite legal measures in place, he was still able to confront Alicia. It makes me wonder if there’s more we can do as a society to ensure these orders are actually enforced more rigorously.
