I can't stop thinking about how De'Marcus La'Trell Franklin was so deeply involved in his community, especially with the Muskegon Heights youth football program. It's clear he was more than just a player; he was a mentor and an inspiration to the young ones who looked up to him. It makes his death all the more tragic because he was someone who actively contributed to making his community a better place. I hope that in remembering his impact, more people from the neighborhood will come forward with any information they might have. De'Marcus deserved a future, not just for himself, but also for his little daughter, Winter. She’ll grow up knowing her father was admired and respected, not just for his athletics, but for his character. I really hope justice will be served soon. Stay strong, Muskegon Heights. ?️
