Hi everyone,
I’ve been following the recent developments regarding the tragic incident involving Joseph Selita and Clayton Willis in Detroit. I wanted to talk a bit about Clayton’s history. It’s shocking and truly upsetting that this wasn’t the first time he was targeted. From what I’ve read, Willis was ambushed last summer too, and that attacker was never caught. It makes me wonder if there’s someone out there targeting panhandlers specifically. Why is it that the most vulnerable among us seem to face relentless violence? It’s painful to think that someone who's survived losing so much already—literally his limbs—is repeatedly put in harm's way.
It's crucial that the community supports law enforcement with any information to help bring justice to both these men. It won’t change what happened, but perhaps it can help prevent another tragedy in the future. My heart goes out to their families and friends. If anyone has any thoughts or theories, I'd love to hear them. We need to keep talking about this.
