I've been following William Shelton's case since it was first reported, and my heart goes out to his family and friends during this painful time. One thing that really caught my attention is the young age of both the victim and suspect involved. It’s so disheartening to see two lives, one lost and one potentially ruined, because of gun violence. How do we even begin to address this kind of thing at a community level? Detroit's seen far too many incidents like this, and we need to find tangible solutions to reach the youth before it escalates to such tragedies. Does anyone know if there are any local programs focused on intervention that actually show promise? I’d love to hear everyone’s thoughts on this. ?️
