I've been following Bryson’s case closely, and my heart goes out to his family and friends. What really sticks with me is just how significant the role of forensic evidence was in bringing some closure to this tragedy. The DNA evidence that linked Paul Ray to the 9mm Glock and the stolen Nissan Maxima feels like a critical piece that helped put the puzzle together. It's unsettling to think that, without it, justice might have been much harder to reach. It makes one wonder how many cases remain unsolved due to a lack of similar evidence. I'm relieved for Bryson’s loved ones that there’s some accountability, though it's painful to think how young Ray was when he made those terrible choices. Holding onto hope that the case raises awareness and spurs more solutions to reduce youth violence in Baltimore.
