Has anyone else been following the case of Corby Neef's murder at the Bunker Hill Campground? I’ve been thinking a lot about the role alcohol may have played in this tragedy. We know that Corby and his brother-in-law, David Harp, were drinking heavily the night before the shooting. It's such a grim reminder of how impaired judgment can escalate situations in the worst ways possible.
I can’t help but feel for their families. Losing someone like Corby, who was described by friends as a kind person with a positive influence, must be devastating. But I also wonder about how Harp’s family is coping with all of this. It must be incredibly hard to reconcile the person they know with the actions he's accused of.
This situation really highlights the need for more conversations about alcohol's role in violent incidents. It doesn’t excuse the actions, but understanding those factors might help prevent future tragedies. Has anyone come across statistics or studies supporting this, or seen similar cases where alcohol was a significant factor?
