Hello everyone, I've been reading about the tragic case of Cassandra Sims and the more I think about little Royal, the more my heart goes out to him. It just breaks me to think about how much this young boy has been through at such a tender age. Witnessing something so traumatic and then having to find the strength to seek help from a neighbor—he showed an incredible amount of bravery. I can only hope that Royal is surrounded by a strong network of love and support to help him through the unimaginable pain. As a community, we need to support children like him who are left in the wake of such violence. This incident underlines the critical importance of providing resources for families affected by domestic violence and ensuring kids like Royal have access to counseling and trauma-informed care. Sending out thoughts for peace to Cassandra’s family and especially Royal. May they find some comfort as they navigate this difficult time. ?
