Has anyone heard anything more about how the custody dispute may have escalated? It’s so distressing to think that Mya’s life was cut short due to a situation that possibly could have been resolved before reaching such a tragic point. I'm constantly reminded of how innocent she was and how the community at Sauk Trail Elementary has been forever changed. It's so important that we keep conversations going about the impact of domestic violence and find ways to support families before they reach a breaking point. I hope resources become more readily available to prevent these types of tragedies in the future.
