I've been following the tragic case of the Mayhugh family and my heart goes out to everyone involved. I've been thinking a lot about the text message that Patty sent to Jacob about dinner being ready. It's such a small, everyday gesture, but it shows how family life can be turned upside down in an instant. It’s chilling to think how those final moments unfolded right after what should have been a simple act of love and normalcy. I can’t imagine the pain Shayla’s friends and family must be experiencing knowing how close and connected they all were one moment, and how that was shattered the next. I hope the community continues to find ways to support one another as they navigate through this devastating situation. Has anyone heard how the community is planning to honor their memories in the long term?
