I can't stop thinking about the tragic loss of A’moni Young. It's so hard to wrap my head around something like this happening, especially during what should have been a fun night with friends. A sleepover turning into a nightmare—it's beyond comprehension. My heart goes out to her family and friends. They should have been celebrating her 14th birthday, not mourning her loss. What really hits me is A’moni’s mother's question: "Where's these guns coming from?" It’s such an important issue that needs attention. The fact that teenagers had access to a loaded gun is alarming. Is it just negligence, or is there something deeper that's allowing this to happen? The community needs answers and solutions to prevent this from happening again. Also, seeing the community come together is a reminder of how important it is for us to stand by one another in times of grief. I sincerely hope that this case pushes for stronger measures to ensure gun safety, so no more families have to endure a pain like this. Thoughts and prayers are with A’moni’s loved ones during this incredibly difficult time.
