I’ve been following the tragic case of Mobarak Adam, and I keep thinking about the Southwest Teen Life Center itself. Why were the cameras out of order for so long? I know funding can be a huge issue for public facilities, but five years is a long time for such an essential security feature to be non-functional. It’s devastating to think that if the cameras had been operational, we might be closer to finding justice for Mobarak and his family. They deserve answers, and it’s deeply frustrating that such oversight could hinder an investigation so critically. Does anyone know if there’s been any push or initiative to get the cameras back up and running since this incident? It seems vital to prevent something like this from happening again.
