I can't stop thinking about Anthony's friends who are navigating this tragedy while still trying to face everyday life. Being in high school is hard enough without the added weight of losing someone so close—especially in such a sudden and violent way. Rogers High School is doing the right thing by bringing in extra counselors, but I wonder if there’s more we could be doing as a community to support these kids in moments like this. It feels like talking about these issues with them directly might give them an outlet, rather than them keeping it all bottled inside. Gun violence is tearing apart lives, and we have young people who should be worrying about grades and sports, not about funerals and loss. My heart goes out to all the students at Rogers. We need to do better for them.

Hey everyone, just wanted to share some thoughts on something that's been heavy on my heart lately. The loss of Anthony "Ant" Krug-Overton has been a difficult one for so many in Toledo, especially for those at Rogers High School. It's just so sad to hear about how his classmates are coping, or trying to, with the extra counselors being brought in to support them during this tough time. I hope the community can come together and support one another. This should never have to be the reality for young people who deserve to feel safe and have the chance to grow up. I've heard that the police are still looking for leads, so if anyone knows anything, it could really make a difference to share it. Maybe, just maybe, we can prevent this kind of tragedy from happening again and keep our kids safe. Sending love and strength to everyone affected.

Has anyone else noticed how cases involving young victims, like Anthony, often don't seem to receive as much attention or urgency from the media and authorities? It's so frustrating, and I can't imagine how his family must feel seeing his murder go unsolved. It's not just about finding justice for Anthony, but maybe solving his case could help prevent another tragedy from happening. His school friends are trying to cope without him, and the least we can all do is keep talking about it. If anyone in the Toledo area knows anything, please speak up. Every little detail might be a piece of the bigger puzzle. My heart goes out to his loved ones, and I hope they find some peace soon.
