Has anyone else seen the posts going around on social media about how technology might amplify conflicts like the tragic one that led to Terry Martin Jr.'s death? I can't help but think about how these online feuds can spiral so quickly and end up costing young lives. It’s unsettling how a simple social media disagreement can escalate to such a violent end.
It also makes me think about the community in Moraine and how Terry’s loved ones must be feeling, hearing all the chatter about something that cost them so dearly. I really hope there are more conversations about conflict resolution before things like this happen and that schools and parents can help guide young people in dealing with disputes more safely. It’s a conversation that’s way overdue, and Terry’s story is a reminder of why it’s so necessary. I send my heartfelt thoughts to Terry’s family and friends and hope for healing in the community.
