I've been following the Youngstown tragedy, and the reality of two lives lost is really hitting home. What's been on my mind lately is the strength of Damien's family throughout this ordeal. It must be incredibly challenging for Damien's aunt, Tracey, who nurtured him from birth, to make sense of his untimely passing. The community's support through vigils shows how much he was loved, but it certainly doesn't fill the void they must be feeling. I sincerely hope the family finds the strength to endure this difficult time and that justice will be served sooner rather than later. It's so important for the community to rally around his family now more than ever. Thoughts and love to everyone affected by this tragedy.

I’ve been thinking about the impact this case has had on the Youngstown community and how it's highlighting the urgent need for change. Attended one of the vigils for Damien and Jashai, and it was incredibly moving to see so many people come together in solidarity. It really shows just how deeply their loss is felt, way beyond just their family and friends. I hope the attention this tragedy is drawing leads to some real conversations and action around preventing violence in the area. It’s clear Youngstown is hurting right now, and we all need to push for something to be done before more lives are senselessly lost. Has anyone else attended any of the vigils? Would love to hear how others are coping and processing this.
