Hey everyone,
I came across the news about Javier Smith Santiago's murder in Cleveland, and it's really shaken me. Something that's been on my mind is the presence of guns among kids and how it contributed to this tragic event. How are these young kids even getting access to firearms? It's terrifying to think about how this situation unfolded.
I can't imagine the pain his family must be going through, especially his mom, Shannon, who has lost her only son. No parent should have to endure this. I'm hoping that by talking more about where these guns are coming from, we can perhaps prevent other families from experiencing the same grief. Does anyone know if there have been any initiatives or community responses to address this issue locally? It seems like such a crucial step in stopping things like this from happening again.
Thanks, and sending love to Javier's family and everyone affected.
Stay safe.
Hey everyone,
I've been following the heartbreaking story of Javier Smith Santiago, and I can't get my mind off the vigil that was held for him. From what I've read, the turnout was incredibly supportive, and you could feel just how much this young boy meant to everyone who knew him.
Javier's mom, Shannon, shared some touching memories of him. Hearing about his love for soccer and his dreams of becoming a teacher one day really hit home. It's just so unfair how his life was taken away so soon. I can't imagine the pain his family is going through right now.
It's so important that the community continues to come together, not just in support of Javier's family, but also in fighting to prevent such tragedies from happening again. Let's hope that those involved in this senseless act are found soon, and justice is served for Javier and his loved ones.
Anyone else hear about the vigil or have thoughts on how the community can better support families like Javier's during times like this?
Stay safe, everyone.
Hey everyone, I just wanted to discuss something that's been on my mind since the tragic incident with Javier Smith Santiago. Has anyone else been thinking about how we, as a community, can provide support to his family during this difficult time? I can't even begin to imagine what his mother, Shannon, must be going through right now. I heard there's been some local fundraising efforts, but I wonder if there's more we can do collectively to show our support and stand against the senseless violence that took Javier from us.
Also, it's been frustrating to see how gun violence continues to impact our youth. I'm curious to hear what others think about potential solutions or programs that could be effective in preventing these tragedies. It's clear we need more than just conversation; we need action before another family has to experience this unimaginable pain.
Let's come together and maybe brainstorm on ways we can keep Javier's memory alive and push for some tangible change in our community. Any thoughts or ideas would be greatly appreciated.
