Larry Romine, a 27-year-old male from Dayton-view, OH, tragically died on July 15, 1975. His death was part of a series of racially motivated attacks carried out by Neal Long, also known as "The Shotgun Slayer." Long was responsible for at least 21 attacks against African-American men in Dayton, Ohio, between 1972 and September 1975, resulting in between four and seven deaths and 14 injuries. Long's motive was his anger over desegregation.
