Has anyone else seen the Facebook videos that Akira Fletcher posted just before she was arrested? I can’t get them out of my mind. It’s just so surreal to see everything that led up to the tragic outcome, right there on social media. I can’t even imagine what Nyema Norton's family must be going through, knowing those videos are out there. Those moments are available for the world to see, and it feels like such a violation of the private pain they must be experiencing. It also makes me wonder about the role that social media is playing in cases like this. Does anyone think the videos will actually help Fletcher's defense given they show such a complex situation? How do juries even process evidence like this? My heart goes out to both women and their families—I can't stop thinking about how this night completely changed their lives forever.
