Hey everyone, I'm really struggling to get my head around the tragedy that happened with young Demarian Palmisano. It's tough to see how a moment of poor judgment has led to such devastating consequences. I keep thinking about the friend's decision to handle that .22 long rifle after drinking. It just breaks my heart that teenagers, who are supposed to be enjoying their summer, instead find themselves facing such harrowing circumstances. I was reading about how Demarian's friend was the one to call 911, and you can really feel his panic and remorse. It must have been terrifying for him, realizing what had happened. I just can’t help but think about both of these families and how indescribably hard this must be. One mistake, and two lives are forever changed. I'm hopeful that the community's efforts to honor Demarian will bring a bit of light to his family during this unimaginable darkness. Maybe it'll serve as a reminder to others about the terrible consequences that can come with mixing guns and alcohol. Has anyone else been following how the school is planning to remember him? I think it's important that his spirit and positivity continue to have an impact. Sending thoughts and strength to the Palmisano family and everyone affected by this tragedy.
