I'm really disturbed by what happened to Davion Stribling. It's such a devastating reminder of how dangerous it can be for kids just trying to enjoy their night with friends. My heart goes out to his family and friends who are undoubtedly struggling with this massive loss. Something that's been on my mind is the broader impact on his younger siblings. Being the eldest of ten, Davion was likely a role model. The trauma of losing him in such a violent way could be incredibly tough for them to process. I can't imagine how they must be feeling right now. It's so important for the community to rally around them and provide all the support and counseling they need to cope with this. If anyone knows how to get in contact with local organizations that help families affected by violence, please share. I feel we need to do all we can to protect and help them heal. And if anyone has insights on community efforts or vigils, that info would be good to have too. Let's keep talking about ways to prevent these tragedies and support those left behind.
