Just read about the tragic loss of Joseph "Joe" Romo, and I can't stop thinking about the impact this must have on his family and colleagues. I've worked in a few community roles myself, and it's like you become a family with your coworkers. It's really tough to imagine how they're all handling this. Joe seemed like such a devoted family man, always showing up for his kids. It's those small things, like being present at award ceremonies, that children remember the most. His absence will leave a big void, not just within his family but in the community of Alamogordo as well. The more I read about Logan Jacobs, the more unsettled I feel. Previous incidents involving guns can't be ignored when looking at the larger picture. It raises too many questions about what could have been done to prevent this. While we wait for justice to be served, my heart goes out to Joe's loved ones. They deserve all the support they can get during this unbelievably difficult time.
