Hey all, I've been following the tragic case of Jonathan and Jacinya Pena from Las Cruces, and I can't stop thinking about the impact on their family, especially their mother, Kathy. I can't even begin to imagine what it's like getting that kind of call or having to step into the role of raising your grandchild under such circumstances. Losing two children like that is just unfathomable. It hits me particularly hard thinking about what the 15-year-old in the backseat must be going through as well. Not only did she endure a terrifying situation, but she also lost friends in a blink of an eye. I hope she's surrounded by supportive folks helping her through the trauma. What's troubling is that the person(s) responsible are still out there. I really hope anyone in the community who saw or heard something that night comes forward. This family deserves to have some closure and see justice served. Let's keep spreading the word and help bring even the smallest bit of peace to those affected. My thoughts are with the Pena family and everyone involved in this tragedy.
