It’s chilling how quickly life can change in an instant. I’m thinking about Robert Hoy’s wife, Kathleen, and their daughter. It’s unimaginable to lose your partner and have to navigate the added responsibilities of caring for a child with special needs on your own.
I wonder if there’s been any movement on the investigation yet. Given that there were no arrests, it’s hard to know what really transpired in that parking lot. Did they know each other? Was there some miscommunication or misunderstanding that escalated?
Regardless, my heart goes out to Kathleen and her daughter. Moving forward and starting anew after such a tragedy must be incredibly difficult. I hope she finds peace and receives the answers she's looking for. Sending them strength.
I'm really sorry to hear about this tragic incident. There's just something deeply unsettling about how the situation was handled in the aftermath of Robert Hoy's tragic death. Knowing that the retired LVMPD officer was released at the scene because of the "self-defense aspects" makes me wonder what kind of evidence is required to justify such a decision. It's hard to comprehend how a situation like this could result in no immediate arrest or more concrete charges, especially given Kathleen’s search for answers and clarity during such a difficult time.
I can't imagine what Kathleen and her daughter are going through, especially having to move and rebuild their lives while grappling with the loss of a loving husband and father. Has there been any update from the LVMPD about the ongoing review? It's just bewildering how investigative processes can leave affected families in the dark. Their pain is real, and they truly deserve more transparency and communication from the authorities involved.
