I'm still struggling to wrap my head around the tragic incident in Henderson. One part that really sticks with me is how the whole situation unfolded in front of a 5-year-old child. It breaks my heart to think about the lasting impact this will have on them. How do you even begin to explain something like this to someone so young? My thoughts are with that child and any family members stepping up to support them through this unimaginable time. It's also difficult not to wonder about what could have been going through Karl Groschen's mind, especially given his mental health struggles and recent job loss. It doesn't justify anything, of course, but it adds another layer to this senseless tragedy.
It’s so tragic thinking about how Evan was just starting his life and had so many interests and dreams ahead of him. I can't imagine what his friends and family are going through, especially after losing someone so full of life and passion. I read that he was studying computer animation in Vegas—such a creative and promising field! It's devastating that his journey was cut short. My heart goes out to his classmates and professors who must be trying to process this loss as well. I hope the community rallies around his family and supports them during this unimaginable time. If anyone has information on how his college is planning to honor him, please share. It would be nice to know how they're remembering such a talented individual.
The involvement of children in any crime scene is deeply distressing, and my heart goes out to the young child who had to witness this unimaginable tragedy. Having such an early exposure to trauma can have lasting impacts on their mental and emotional state. I hope they have access to the support and counseling they need during this difficult time. It’s hard to process how someone could reach a point of committing such an act, especially towards family members. The fact that the child had to face that horror is just devastating. If anyone has information on how the community might rally to support the child, whether through donations or other means, please share.
