I've been following Isaiah Lee's case closely, and the part that really struck me lately was the use of a fully automatic weapon. It's terrifying to think that these kinds of weapons are in the hands of those who would use them so recklessly. Imagine being in that neighborhood, trying to go about your day, and suddenly you're caught in a hail of gunfire. It's beyond terrifying and speaks to a bigger issue we need to address about illegal weapons on the streets. Isaiah didn't deserve this, and neither does any other member of the community. My heart goes out to his family and friends who are mourning such an unimaginable loss. It's crucial that we have more discussions on how to prevent these tragedies from continuing—and that justice is served for Isaiah and others who have found themselves victims of violence in our neighborhoods. Let's keep advocating for safer communities.
