This whole case has really struck a chord with me. The tragedy on SW Wilmington Court is so devastating, especially when I think about little Scarlett Rose. Growing up without her mom is going to be incredibly hard, but I hope she's surrounded by lots of love and support from both family and a tight-knit community. I've been thinking a lot about Katelynn and how despite all she went through, she turned her life into such a positive force. Her involvement at Victory City Church and her devotion to faith shows how deeply she cared about doing good and being there for others. It's just so difficult to imagine such a bright light being extinguished. She seemed to have such a community-oriented spirit, from her days singing in the chorus to her work at Lupita’s. I hope those who knew and loved her are able to find some peace in remembering these vibrant aspects of her life. Sending thoughts of comfort to Brandy, Luis, and everyone in the family. Katelynn's creative and compassionate nature will be missed by so many.

I just can't stop thinking about little Scarlett. Losing a parent, especially in such a tragic way, is incomprehensible. I hope she's surrounded by love and support from her family, especially from her grandmother Brandy, who now has to fill a void that no one should ever have to fill. It's hard to wrap my head around how deeply this will affect Scarlett as she grows up. This case just reminds me of how important it is to be there for kids who face such loss and ensure they have the resources and people they need to heal as much as possible. My heart truly goes out to her and all of Katelynn's loved ones during this incredibly difficult time.
