I've been following the case of Reginald Privette Jr., and it’s such a tragedy—not just for him but for the community that knew him. I've been thinking a lot about how workplace safety gets overlooked until something awful happens. Reading that Reginald was shot at work, of all places, just makes me so anxious about how safe anyone truly is in their job environment. Reser's Fine Foods must be reeling from this, and I can't imagine what Reginald's co-workers are going through now, knowing someone they saw every day is suddenly gone because of violence. I hope this brings some needed focus on how companies can protect their employees better, not just in Topeka but everywhere. My heart goes out to his family and friends during this incredibly difficult time.
