Hi everyone,
I've been thinking about how much of a community hub Quickies Burgers and Fries is. It's unsettling to know that such violence occurred in a place so many consider a local favorite. Having grown up around that neighborhood, Quickies was always somewhere to grab a burger and catch up with neighbors. It’s been over a month since Trever’s tragic death, and the presence of this case has felt like a shadow over the community.
Concern for safety definitely crosses my mind whenever I’m near that intersection. I think about Trever’s family a lot and what they must be going through, having had something like this happen in one of the most familiar places. I truly hope more people with any information will step up and help bring some closure. This case continues to weigh heavily on many hearts here.
Please continue to stay safe and look out for one another. Sharing even the smallest detail can potentially make a big difference.
Take care, everyone.
I've been thinking a lot about the location where Trever was killed–right outside Quickies Burgers and Fries. It's such a public place, bustling with people all the time, and this just shows how brazen the suspect was. I can't even begin to imagine the fear and confusion among those who were just there to grab a bite when everything unfolded. My heart goes out not only to Trever’s family and friends but also to any bystanders who might still be grappling with what they witnessed. It's important for us to keep discussing this case and sharing any small details with the authorities, no matter how insignificant they might seem. Trever deserves justice, and his loved ones deserve answers. Stay safe, everyone, and please keep your eyes and ears open if you're in the area. This kind of senseless violence affects the entire community, and we need to stand together.
I was reading about the Trever Michael Rickerson case, and one detail that's been sticking with me is the location where it happened. Quickies Burgers and Fries is such a central spot in the community, and it’s unsettling to think of such a violent act occurring there. It makes me think about the everyday places we frequent and how sometimes they can become the center of tragedy. My heart goes out to Trever's family, and I can't imagine the pain they're going through. It's a reminder to hug our loved ones a little tighter and appreciate the everyday moments. I hope they find the person responsible soon. If anyone was near 10th Street and Kansas Ave that day and saw anything, please reach out to the police. They might not see it, but their courage to come forward can make a huge difference.
