It's so hard to come to terms with the loss of someone as well-loved and cherished as Carlos. I came across a touching detail about the memorial held for him, where his friends and family lit 27 candles in his honor. It just struck me—what a beautiful way to symbolize the years he was with us and the bright light he brought into so many lives. I can't imagine the heartache his family is enduring right now, and my heart truly goes out to them. Community support can be an incredible source of strength, and I hope that everyone who knew him feels the collective embrace of those who care. This tragic incident really serves as a call to all of us to work towards a safer future, free from violence.
