I've been thinking a lot about the location where this tragedy unfolded. The gas station on Winnsboro Road feels like such an ordinary place for something so awful to happen. It's just a spot that people pass by every day, getting gas or grabbing snacks, without a second thought. It's unnerving to think that violence could erupt in a place where folks go about their daily routines.
For the people who frequented that gas station, I can't imagine how they must feel knowing something so horrific happened there. My heart goes out to David Jackson's family and friends as they try to process everything. I sincerely hope the community can come together to support those who were affected and help prevent future incidents like this. It's crucial for places in our community to feel safe again after something like this.
