I’ve been following the tragic case of Nykobia Keller, and I’m trying to wrap my head around how something so awful could happen to someone so young and full of life. One part that really sticks with me is her pulling over and trying to call for help even after being shot. It just shows how brave and strong she was to think about the safety of her passenger and maybe even try to ensure there would be some leads for police by pulling over. It’s incredibly upsetting to see such targeted violence, especially on a busy road like I-110. How does someone have the audacity and disregard for life? I can only imagine how stressful it must have been for the passenger and how traumatic this loss is for Nykobia’s family. Her mom’s words about being her voice now just hit me hard. I hope someone with information feels inspired to come forward soon so her family can find some semblance of solace in justice. My thoughts are with them during this unimaginably tough time.
