Has anyone been following the recent events in Marrero? I’ve been reading about the tragic shooting on March 5th and the loss of Derrick Kinchen has really got me thinking. I don’t know Derrick personally, but from what I've heard, he was a genuinely kind person with his whole life ahead of him.
What's really troubling is the pattern of gun violence that seems to have taken hold in Marrero. Just last year, it feels like we’ve heard of too many similar stories.
