Hey everyone. I’ve been closely following the tragic case of Sequan Morgan, and there’s just something that’s been bothering me about the location of the incident. Groom Road in Baker isn't exactly a hotspot for crime, so why would this altercation happen there? It's a place where locals go about their everyday business, with families stopping by the convenience store and people going about their daily routines. It’s unsettling to think someone could be targeted or caught in such violent circumstances somewhere so seemingly ordinary. My heart goes out to Sequan’s family, who must be struggling to understand how this could happen in such a familiar part of their community. How do we reconcile a place we always considered safe with the violence that took Sequan from his loved ones? Stay safe, everyone, and keep lending your support to his family in these difficult times.
I've lived in Baker for a couple of years now, and the news of Sequan Morgan's death is incredibly devastating for our community. It's hard to fathom that this tragedy happened so close to home, at a place many of us frequent. Seeing the makeshift memorial outside the convenience store on Groom Road really brings home how loved Sequan was and how much people are feeling his absence. I feel for the family who now has to navigate life without him. Does anyone know if there's a vigil or community meeting being planned to honor his memory and push for action against the violence that took him from us? It's important for us all to support each other and look for ways to keep our community safe. If anyone has more details, please share them here.
