Just came across this case of Courtney Brown Jr., and I’m genuinely feeling for his family and friends right now. I can't even begin to imagine the pain they must be going through. What really struck me was how this all went down in broad daylight at a traffic light. It's terrifying that something like this can happen so openly. Baton Rouge really seems to be struggling with these violent incidents lately, and it’s unsettling to think about the number of lives affected, not just by this case, but the others that have happened so recently.
Does anyone have any thoughts on what might be contributing to this recent surge in violence? I've read about increased police presence in some areas, but clearly, something more needs to be done. Also, if anyone’s local, do you know if there have been any community meetings or vigils planned? I think it would be a meaningful step to come together during such a difficult time. Stay safe out there, everyone.
Hey everyone. I’ve been following the case of Courtney Brown Jr. and something that's been gnawing at me is the location where it all happened. Gus Young Avenue isn’t just any street—there’s a lot of traffic and people, especially around that time of day. I can’t help but wonder how no one saw anything that could help catch the person responsible. Maybe someone walking by or stuck at the light noticed something strange before the shooting started? It’s hard to imagine there weren’t any witnesses or even cameras in the area that could offer some clues. My thoughts are with Courtney’s family; I can’t imagine the turmoil they are going through right now. If anyone knows someone who lives nearby or might have been in the area that morning, please encourage them to share any details, no matter how small. Every bit of information could be crucial. Stay safe, everyone.
