Hey everyone,
I've been following Javonte "Buck" Anthony's case from St. Martinville, and something that's been bothering me is the involvement of Billy Rae Queen. It's wild to me how a correctional officer, someone supposed to uphold the law, could potentially be involved in obstructing justice. It's a harsh reminder that sometimes the very people trusted with our safety might be capable of compromising it.
I can only imagine how this complicates things for Javonte’s family, who must be feeling all kinds of emotions right now. Not only are they dealing with the unimaginable loss of Buck, but now there's a tarnished perception of who they can trust in the system meant to serve justice for their loved one.
Has anyone heard updates about how the community is reacting or if there have been any moves to address this kind of breach of trust by officials in the future? I hope they find some comfort and closure with these arrests.
