Did anyone else notice the number of security cameras in the area around 3rd Street? I wonder if any footage from that night might have captured what happened. It's so crucial that any available video is reviewed thoroughly to catch whoever did this to Ms. Francis. Such a painful loss for her family and friends, and I truly hope that justice is served soon. It’s got to be incredibly tough on the community, but I'm hopeful that someone who saw or heard something will come forward with information. Keeping her loved ones in my thoughts.
Truly sad to hear about Verna Francis and what her family must be going through right now. What's really been on my mind is the location where this act took place. The 3800 block of 3rd Street isn't known to be a high-crime area, at least from what I've read. It just makes you wonder if this was random or if it was something more targeted.
