I can't stop thinking about Alston Walters and the senseless violence that took his life. A 14-year-old shouldn’t have their life cut short like this. I feel so deeply for his family and friends who must be going through unimaginable pain right now. The fact that this happened in a neighborhood where many probably felt safe is just so disturbing. I read that his case is being recognized as part of the larger issue of gun violence, and it really hits home how pervasive this problem is. It’s alarming that there haven’t been any arrests yet, and I sincerely hope that someone with information steps up. If anyone reading this knows anything, please reach out to the authorities. Alston deserves justice, and we owe it to him and his family to bring whoever did this to accountability.
