I'm really feeling for Chad "Chez" LaJuan Smith Sr.'s family and friends right now. I can't even imagine what they're going through. I was looking through some reports, and did you all notice how quickly the LMPD made the arrest? Just six days after the incident. It seems like there was a real concerted effort from the Homicide, Violent Crime, and K9 Units. That foot pursuit on Garland Avenue must have been intense for everyone involved. I hope this means they're gathering a solid case against Jordan Fields. At the end of the day, Chad deserves justice, and his loved ones deserve some peace of mind. I just keep thinking about those who knew him best and the hole his absence must be leaving in their lives. If anyone here happens to be from Louisville or has any more updates on how the community is doing, please share. We might not be able to change what's happened, but we can surely support each other through it.
