I've been following the tragic events that unfolded on Morton Avenue on August 11, and I can't help but keep coming back to the community aspect of this case. It’s so sad to think about the impact that Michael Bachelor Jr.'s death has had on his neighbors and friends. He was only 20, and to have his life taken in such a violent way must have left a huge void for those who knew him.
Living in a close-knit neighborhood often means you know the people down the street, maybe from school or local events. I can only imagine how unsettling and painful this must be for everyone in that area. These kinds of violent acts really disrupt the sense of safety and community.
