Has anyone else been following the tragic case of Bobby Paul Smallwood? I can't stop thinking about the role communication failures played in this tragic event. It's infuriating how the critical information about the third firearm was reportedly not conveyed to Bobby. Even more heartbreaking is the fact that a fellow security officer did attempt to warn Bobby using hand gestures, through glass doors no less—just moments before the shooting occurred. It seems like a colossal failure in communication. I get that emotions were probably running high, with Calles making threats and all, but how does crucial intel like that slip through the cracks? This should serve as a wake-up call for institutions everywhere to seriously reassess their communication protocols, especially in high-stakes environments like hospitals. It's such a tragedy that it took Bobby losing his life for these issues to be brought into the spotlight. I hope his family gets the answers they deserve and that tangible changes come from this. They've already lost so much—it's the least anyone can do to ensure his death wasn’t in vain.
