Just found out some more info regarding the shooting on November 25th that claimed James Mack's life. It’s deeply unsettling to think about the incident happening right outside his own home, especially with his mother, Alice Nimz, there trying to stop it. Can you imagine the trauma she must be going through? Having the confrontation escalate to that fatal point right in front of her is beyond comprehension. I'm really hoping the arrest of William Maingi sheds some light on what truly happened that night, and justice can be served. It's crazy to think this marks Portland's 67th homicide this year. It's just too much. I truly sympathize with the Mack family during this incredibly difficult time and hope those close to them can find some peace as the case progresses. If anyone has more insights or thoughts on how the community can come together after so many tragic events, please share. Recognizing there are still investigative efforts ongoing, maybe this is a moment to reinforce neighborhood safety and support networks to help prevent further tragedies.

It's deeply saddening to hear about the loss of James Mack. My thoughts are with his mother, Alice, who not only lost her son but witnessed such a traumatic event. I can't imagine the pain she must be enduring right now. One aspect that leaves me wondering is the prior relationship, if any, between James and the suspect, William Maingi. Were they acquaintances, or was this a random altercation that escalated tragically? It seems crucial to understand the dynamic between them to get a clearer picture of what led to this terrible incident. If anyone has more insights on this, it might help people make sense of the situation. Also, I hope the community around Southeast 154th Avenue finds some peace and healing as they cope with this event.
